Sorry. I didn't mean to forget about you. The thing is, you were talking about wanting to run a nation or even to have your nation states nation in this game. Neither of those is an option at this point.
If you want to discuss this further, you can post here or send a telegram in nation states to "Zekresh" or send an e-mail to nationsandempires@yahoo.com.
As we've been discussing in the game updates thread in the general discussion area, we are working on creating a version of this game with 3D graphics that will be similar to other MMORPG-type games. This involves a lot of work and we simply do not have time to add any more characters to the regular game, especially not national leaders or provincial governors.
We are about to start recruiting new players to join in the "Yostan" scenario which you can read about in the game updates thread and in the Yostan thread in the Overseas Provinces regional forum below. If you wish, you could have a character in that.
We are implementing a new system for how we assign characters. It will now be done based on "karma" points which must be earned by helping run the game or donating money. Don't be put off by that. Some characters require so little karma to get that you could play one of those same characters as non-player character and that would earn you enough karma to be assigned that same character as your permanent character. This system allows us to see that someone will at least bother to post a couple times before we assign them a character. We've given out provincial governors, a general and a prince and then had the players stop playing after one or two posts. That's frustrating considering how much effort went into setting up those characters and their starting situations.
We are probably going to create a new thread soon in the general discussion area called "Yostan" or something like that to provide a place for out of character discussion of the Yostan scenario.
The Yostan scenario is almost a separate game. It's purpose is to help us work out some issues that will be relevant to the 3D graphics version of the game which may also be set in Yostan. If not, it will be nearby and the same characters that people play with in the Yostan scenario on the forum will be playable by the same players in the 3D video game. So this is a way to get a head start on the video game before it's even ready.

Id really like to be one of the players who runs a country. Since you say no to that, I would play yostan.
I would like the character of Darimuk. If I can't be him, I would be Sharnyva. My third choice would be Sarman if that is allowed. Otherwise my third choice would be Havuk.
Am I supposed to bid karma for those? How do I get karma? Where do I bid?

Hey, how does this message board work? Did you program this? Did you pay someone for it? Is it free? What's the deal? My brother and I have a message board for our micronation and it's not as good as this one. Also, my brother joined a guild in Runescape that is wanting to set up their own forum somewhere.

Ok. I just saw at the bottom of the screen whereit says this is free and clicked on the link. It is really free or is that just BS?
The one I have now on ezboard for our micronation is free, but all sorts of features don't work unless you pay. Like if you don't pay, people have to register to post anything. Lots of people don't want to register.

Yes, proboards is really free and it is pretty good. It's the best forum service we've found which is why we use it. But we didn't look very hard, just used the first one that seemed pretty good and free. Just go to www.proboards.com to get a free board.

We will probably allow more characters who run countries later, but they will probably be auctioned off for karma points. Right now we want to focus on developing the Yostan scenario. More high level characters elsewhere would be a distraction. Jake wrote: I would like the character of Darimuk. If I can't be him, I would be Sharnyva. Of the characters introduced so far in Yostan, most gamers would probably choose Darimuk. The others you mention will also probably be in high demand. You do not currently have any karma points. Jake wrote: Am I supposed to bid karma for those? How do I get karma? Where do I bid?
To get points you first have to register on this site. You keep posting as a guest, but you need a regular account. They are free, just register. Next, we will tell you what you can do to earn points. One thing you can do is play a non-player character for a while to demonstrate your role playing skills and show us you will follow through with this. There are other ways to earn points as well such as donating money to help with costs of developing the 3D MMORPG game. Other tasks include helping us back up the threads on this forum or provide other assistance to us to help us run the game or develop background information. We will create a thread in the general section for bidding on characters when we are ready. It shouldn't be too much longer.

Yes you may play temporarily as Razamuk and you can now post in the Yostan section as Razamuk. And for your information Razamuk and his wounded twin brother have just arrived.

I'm going to remind you that my presence will not be that regular, but I'll try to become a pretty often posting member while I have time.
