A guard says, "Yes, Gurikan Falanorata Krulmuk is in the palace. I'll have someone show you the way."
A guard from the Kantora Solurenesh is assigned to escort you to meet with Krulmuk. The palace is alive with activity. The corridors are busy with servants and others going every which way. There seems to be some sort of excitement going on.
Krulmuk is on the second floor in a luxurious guest room with four more armed guards from the Kantora Solurenesh. Inside there are three men with him. Nemt recognizes them all as army officers who are close to Krulmuk. They all have swords.
Krulmuk seems quite surprised to see you. He stands up (whereupon all the others stand up) and greets you, "Gurikan Nemt! I mean, Ulor Nemt! I didn't expect to see you here. With the Navy blockade, I had given up on seeing any troops even from across the Gateway Waters, much less from the other side of the Empire. I should have known you would find a way. Was the journey difficult?"

"It's good to see you back here as well, Gurikan Falanorata." Nemt says. He then tells Krulmuk about the sea voyage, the naval blockade and their failed boarding attempt, and the plan to ferry south peninsula imperial forces to the capital, he also informs Krulmuk of the 1st Kantora Sishan arriving with him. Nemt goes on to say "but I've heard the Emperor isn't pleased with anyone's actions - Sarman was very grave in his predictions. What happens now?"

Krulmuk says, "That's quite a story. Will your ekanor write a new scroll about it?"
Krulmuk laughs in a friendly way.
Then he says, "As for what happens now, I have returned to Zekran as the Emperor ordered. I have stood before him and explained my actions. Now I am waiting for his decision on what to do. I have been told that Levorek, Rubanya and Valast have done the same. I expect he will decide who was the proper regent and the other side will suffer dire consequences. Sarman may worry for us, and with good reason. Rubanya is close to the Emperor, but so is Levorek. Rubanya is Lord Chancellor, but that does not make him regent. A vote of the Imperial Council decides the regency when the Emperor has not made his will plain and the Imperial Council elected Levorek. We could still lose. The Emperor could say it wasn't a proper council meeting. He could say Levorek abused his powers. Or he could just use his prerogative to support Rubanya anyway. He is the Emperor and can decide the case however he pleases. I'm not worried. I have faced death in battle. I can face death in the Imperial Palace."

Nemt laughs as well, and says "Maybe he already is, Arno is always writing." He then goes on to state his admiration for Krulmuk's view on the current situation. "Tell me though" Nemt asks "how close did you come to besieging Yishil?"

"You hadn't heard? Our siege began the day before the Emperor recovered. We had arrived an begun scouting enemy locations the day before that."

Krulmuk says, "Yes. Especially Rubanya. He had a lot of troops there, but I don't think they would all have fought for him. Some would have joined us. It probably wouldn't even have been a seige. He was rolling the dice every time a new kantora took a turn at guarding the city walls, that they wouldn't just open the gate and let us in."

Nemt explains how he always had a difficult time believing any significant amount of soldiers had been willing to fight for him.
(OOC: I don't have anything else to ask Krulmuk, unless he has orders for Nemt)

When there's a pause in the conversation and it seems that Nemt is finished talking, Krulmuk says, "You're welcome to wait here with the rest of us to hear the Emperor's decision. If you'd rather not be near me when it comes, I'll understand."

(OOC: I should mention who the other three officers are. They are:
Ekanor Falan Talimuk, Imperial Army Quartermaster.
Gurikan Anamuk, deputy commander of the 1st Kantora Zekresh (the Kantora Ramoro which Krulmuk personally commands.)
Gurikan Verno, commander of the 2nd Kantora Zekresh.
Both the 1st and 2nd Kantoro Zekresh are out of the capital. It is unusual that their commanders are present when the troops are not.)
After a wait of nearly two foss, a servant comes in and informs Krulmuk that he and his officers are summoned to an audience with the Emperor.
"You can join us for this as well if you wish, Nemt," Krulmuk says, "I'll well remember the men who are brave enough to stand beside me this day."

As the crowd of courtiers, guards, servants and guests slowly makes their way out of the audience chamber, Valast notices Nemt and points him out to Imperial Chancellor Rubanya saying, "Look there. That's Nemt, the Ulor I told you about. He brought a load of troops all the way from Kopixer to help Levorek and Krulmuk. He even fought my men at sea."

Rubanya says, "I see," and calls out to Nemt, "Ulor Nemt!"
When Nemt turns to face him, Rubanya says, "I have heard that you brought troops to the capital to help Krulmuk. For that, you are hereby relieved of your post as Ulor of Kopixer and your position as an officer in the Imperial Army."
