"Thank you, very much," the man says, "My name is Rangata, by the way. Let us go see your ship's master then."
Imars notices that the man has a Warnan name, though his accent is Ravelonian. There are, of course, many Warnans in Ravelonia. Imars himself was one once.
(OOC: If you wish, you can tell him your name or go to the ship or talk to him while you are going to the ship. Either way, you don't need any more posts from the gamemaster to get back to the ship and start talking to Lennand. Lennand is now temporarily controlled by a player so he will post separately from the gamemasters.)

Imars reflected on the name only briefly before giving his own name - "I am Imars. It is good to have met you, Rangata."
With that, Imars led the pilgrims to back to the port, where he looked out for Lennand. He was not near the ship, but perhaps he was conducting last minute business. "I will seek out the ship master," Imars said before parting the company to seek him.

Lennand was on his ship overseeing loading. He had bought everything and was getting ready to leave. He sees Imars walk by "Ah hello Imars, are you ready to leave shortly? We are almost done loading and I wish to be off quickly to return home and sell my merchandise."

Imars nodded as Lennand addressed him.
"Lennand, I have visitors of this city that wish to travel back home. This is your ship, so I wish to know if you are willing to grant them passage home. If so, I can navigate them to their place and then return us to Lisatrom. They seek passage back to Grogia."

Lennand stood and thought about it. "How many are these travelers? Do they expect to receive food from us or did they bring their own? How much are they willing to pay for passage? Oh and are they willing to obey any rules I might lay down for them?"

Rangata and his companions are there, but do not respond to Lennan's comments. It appears that they may not speak Koppan, the language Lennand was speaking in.

Imars kept calm. "They have little food, and they are willing to offer some money to pay for their trip, although I cannot say how much they have to offer. They are pilgrims, so I cannot guarantee much. But I think that they are willing to follow your rules and pay for passage if it's reasonable to them. Tell me what you wish from them and I speak with them."

"I want a guarantee that they will follow my rules and they have their own food. Also how much are they willing to pay and I want proof that they will infact pay that amount." He didn't want to take them but their destination was not all that far out of his way and it was pretty much free money as long as they followed a few basic rules.

After Imars translates, Rangata says in Ravelonian, "We will obey reasonable rules on the ship. We have 13 doveko we can pay and your ship's master can be sure we'll pay because we'll give him the money at the beginning of the trip."

Imars was at ease seeing that the two sides could agree with each other and he relayed the same information back to Lennand.
"They will obey your rules, and they do have 13 doveko to pay for the trip. They are offering to pay half now and half once they arrive at the destination."

He shook his head. "No, I want it all now, before we leave. I am ready to go now are they? My biggest rule is that no one goes down into the hold. We will bring them to the capital of the province and then let them go from there. Come on we are wasting light."

Rangata turns to Imars and asks in Ravelonian, "What did he say?"

Imars was a little shaken, but kept calm. He turned to Rangata and replied, "He'll take the money now, and wants you to provide for your own food and to stay out of the hold. We will take you to Shalthan and from there you may continue your voyage. If you are ready, we will leave soon."

Rangata says, "That is fine. We are ready to leave now." He empties his coin purse into his hand and gives the money to Lennand. It is 13 doveko.

Lennand looks at the money and puts it away, gesturing to the men to get on the ship. Once he does that he walks on the deck and starts shouting orders to his crew to finish preparing the ship to leave the docks.
