There is a rumor spreading fast from the marketplaces of Zekran to the rest of the Empire. The rumor is that the Emperor is dead, that the Imperial Army has seized control of the government and that the Lord Chancellor has fled from the capital with the assistance of the Imperial Navy.
There is another rumor that the Emperor is dead.
There is another rumor that the Emperor is alive, but being held captive in his own palace.
There is another rumor that the Empire is on the brink of civil war.
There is another rumor that barbarians have completely overrun all the Overseas Provinces and that rebellions have broken out in the North.

There are rumors coming out of Yishil, Slythia of landings of thousands of troops from Imperial Navy ships. The arrival of the troops was peaceful. Rumors say they are Imperial troops from the garrison at Grogia. Other rumors say they are coming from all over the Empire.

The word in the marketplaces of Zekran is that Krulmuk and the troops with him are marching on the road that leads towards Kast Yvar and Lorekan, confiscating food, horses and wagons all along the way.

The news is that Krulmuk is at Kast Yvar and has attacked the Ulor's palace where Prince Shalimuk was residing. Shalimuk is said to have escaped alive and some rumors even say he held his own against Krulmuk's army.
Other rumors say that Krulmuk's army hasn't even reached Kast Yvar yet.
