A small ship arrived at the Yishil port some time after noon, manned by a crew of six sailors. Aboard were eleven passengers, Skylifon and his household: his wife, his three children, and his bodyguards and servants. The ship wasn't that unusual a sight, for Skylifon loved sailing and also visited Yishil from time to time, and it was recognized by some as it took its place at the dock. Skylifon had taken his whole household with him when he had fled the capital, and that was slightly more unusual.
Skylifon stepped ashore with his family, three bodyguards and three servants. He was wearing a grey cloak, as he wasn't yet sure if it was still safe to show the symbols of the Order of Knights of the Empire publicly in Yishil.
"We will go looking for a place where we can accommodate ourselves for a while, or at least several days", Skylifon said to those left in the ship. "I have a friend here who owns a somewhat sizeable house, but I am not sure if there is room for all of us. If we do not return until dark, you shall sleep in the ship and we will come back tomorrow morning. You can take a look around the city if you want to."
"And you two", he said, pointing at a servant and one of the bodyguards. "You shall go and find out what you can about the situation in the Empire. It is my understanding that Yishil is controlled by the Lord High Chancellor and should be safe, but I want to be sure. I will meet you here tomorrow. Most importantly, try to find out if there are any knights in Yishil."
"As you wish, milord", they replied and left to fulfill their mission. Skylifon's company left the port as well, traveling inwards to the city.
"Who are we going to meet?" asked Skylifon's older son, a ten-year-old, brown-haired boy with dark green eyes, while they were walking.
"His name is Traligon", explained Skylifon. "He is, in fact, my cousin. He is a merchant, not an incredibly succesful one, but he does maintain a modest standard of living."
"Is he nice?"
Skylifon gave him a smile. "I think you will find him to be as stereotypically Slythian as possible. He does not speak much."
Eventually they reached their destination, an old stone house near the centre of the city. Skylifon knocked on the door.
