Kakajan Tros Province Zekresh Empire On the coast road with the North River Expedition
Oron 37, Salgan 2, Adonsik 41 Vylor Cledman VI
Another day of marching north and Nemt's troops stop for the night. In response to Nemt's orders, officers have inquired as to what troops were recently here foraging.
It appears that this was during the recent conflict between the two regents. The troops were Kajakan Tros province's own garrison heading south to join the fight at Angenmar Paven.

Kakajan Tros Province Zekresh Empire On the coast road with the North River Expedition
Oron 40, Salgan 2, Adonsik 41 Vylor Cledman VI
After three more days of marching, the army halts when ten ships sail up the coast from the south. One of the ships pulls up on the beach while the others drop anchor.
An Imperial Navy officer and an Imperial Army officer come ashore and are taken to see Nemt.
The navy officer is named Gurikan Adamo. He is in command of the fleet. Nemt has never met Adamo before, but he knows the army officer with him. It is Ekanor Falan An Op.
An Op reports that as per Nemt's previous orders, he has acquired a large amount of food for Nemt's army and most of it is aboard the ships. An Op says that four of the ships are civilian ships he commandeered at Verronia and three more are navy ships from the base at Verronia. The other three ships are navy ships that have just come all the way from Zekran transporting the 3rd Kantora Zekresh, Nemt's old unit.
The 3rd Zekresh is aboard them now. The 2nd Kantora Vumman is also aboard the ships. An Op also reports that there are three other units on the road to the south trying to link up with Nemt's expedition. He suggests offloading the troops and supplies and using the ships to transport the rest of the troops either to where Nemt is or further north to minimize the foraging problem and secure the road ahead.
An Op requests permission to use the convoy to pick up the three trailing kantoro and bring them to Bakoya Kajak to secure supplies for the rest of the army and commandeer more ships, then to take the 2nd Kantora Vumman, the 3rd Zekresh and one other unit up to Vumman province to obtain food and ships there. He suggests the ships could be used to ferry other units further up the coast to speed the advance.
An Op and Adamo then await orders from Nemt.

All the ships of the convoy are soon pulled up on the beach. The 2nd Kantora Vumman and the 3rd Kantora Zekresh offload and join Nemt's army.
Gurikan Valen, the expedition quartermaster (and also commander of the 3rd Kantora Kajakan Folon) organizes the offloading and distribution of a huge amount of supplies.
This takes all day, but morale visibly improves.
Gurikan Adamo, commander of the convoy, decides to wait until morning to set off to pick up the three trailing kantoro.
The army camps there for the night with the ships of the convoy pulled up on the beach.
Gurikan Arno, the new commander Nemt's old unit, the 3rd Kantora Zekresh, and also the author of the Scroll of Nemt comes to visit Nemt and personally express how happy he is to be back on a mission with his old commander Nemt.
Arno mentions that when the 3rd Zekresh stopped by Yishil, they found some stray members of their unit there. They were survivors of the of the naval battle whose ship sank. They were pulled from the sea by the navy, captured and taken back to Yishil as prisoners of war. They were then released there when the conflict ended, but had no idea where their unit was. They were still there when the 3rd Zekresh stopped by on the way here.
Arno asks Nemt how bad he expects the rebellion in the north is by now and what should he expect? Another campaign like Kopixer where the enemy is quickly crushed in a short, sharp fight, or something that will go on for a while.

Nemt welcomes Arno and the news of the reunited soldiers; then relates to him the information on the Northern rebels he was given by Krulmuk. "The campaign may be longer than Kopixer, but we'll crush them all the same." he adds.

(OOC: Really? Which one? Are you in the military and, if so, which one? I don't even recall if I ever knew what country you are from.)
Gurikan Arno will mention to Nemt that while they were in Verronia briefly, they asked around the port for anyone who had been in the North River Valley recently. There were all sorts reports of catastrophes including reports that every province in the North River Valley is in revolt, that barbarians from outside the empire were overrunning the area, that Trayavix had been captured by rebels and made the capital of a Trond Empire, that Trayavix had been overrun by barbarians and completely destroyed, etc. None of these were eyewitness reports and some of them were contradictory, so Arno didn't know what to believe.
Arno reports that he did find some Verronese merchants who had actually been to Trayavix a few weeks ago. They confirmed that at that time, Trayavix had not been captured, destroyed or even attacked. One Verronese merchant said that he actually saw the rebel army with his own eyes at Kast Vort, in Foerfen province.
He said he didn't count them, but they were an enormous horde, consisting of thousands upon thousands of troops. He also said that only a few of them looked like barbarians. He reported that nearly all the troops were equipped with Imperial Army weapons and armor and looked and behaved like Imperial Army troops.
The Verronese merchant said that he had been in fear for his life due to rumors that preceded the rebels that they were a bloodthirsty barbarian horde, killing everyone in their path. When farmers coming into Kast Vort reported that the rebel army had crossed the North River and was heading for Kast Vort, most of the other merchants fled the town. Ulor Landyva of Foerfen evacuated himself, his staff, all imperial troops and all the provincial government officials two days before the rebels arrived.
The Verronese merchant would have fled then, but his pack horses had been stolen by fleeing Zekresh people and he was not willing to abandon his entire inventory. Also he heard an inaccurate rumor that the rebels weren't coming after all.
On the 10th day of this month, (30 days ago) he was still in Kast Vort trying to buy pack animals to transport his inventory when the rebel army arrived. Not only was he surprised that they looked like Imperial Army troops, he was even more surprised when the local people welcomed the rebels with great enthusiasm and celebrated their arrival. Most of the rebel troops left town within hours, marching south and there was very little looting. A small rebel force took over the Imperial Army fortress at Kast Vort without a fight.
The merchant said he then sold his inventory at a loss, bought a horse and rode south as fast as he could go. When he reached Kast Ulmuk, he found it still under imperial rule, but there was an air of panic and Imperial Army troops were stockpiling supplies in the fortress to prepare for a siege. When he got to Trayavix, things were a little more calm, but every ship out of there was loaded with Zekresh, Verronese, Slythians and others from the core of the empire getting out. The merchant took a ship back to Verronia while he still could.

(OOC: We're about to have a new player join the game, probably as an imperial officer in command of a kantora either in your army or as part of one of the provincial garrisons in the North River Valley.)
Kakajan Tros Province Zekresh Empire On the coast road with the North River Expedition

After offloading all the troops and supplies, Gurikan Adamo and his fleet sail south the day after they arrived. Ekanor Falan An Op goes with them so he can give orders to the trailing kantoro.
The army's quartermaster, Gurikan Valen, organizes distribution and storage of the food.
Gurikan Arno asks Nemt if the army is going to march today or wait for transport by ship. "If you want to march, I volunteer the 3rd Zekresh to take the vanguard and lead the advance," he says.

Nemt tells Arno no marching today, and to wait for the ships carrying the trailing soldiers - to avoid further dispersal of the force for now.

(OOC: The reason we haven't had any new players in a year or so is because I haven't recruited any in about that much time. I changed my focus to the Magic of the Gods game instead. As a full 3-D graphics MMORPG, it has the potential to make a lot of money. I haven't figured out how to do that with this game and it was taking up a lot of my time because of the number of players. At some point I might resume trying to turn this game into a 3-D MMORPG or maybe automate some features, then it would have more potential.)

Nemt observes a fleet of ships passing by, heading north. It looks like it might be Gurikan Adamo's fleet. They appear to be loaded with people, possibly soldiers. They don't stop, but just keep going north until they are out of sight.
