What kind of entertainment is popular in the empire? Gladiator games, chariot/boat races, animal fights, dramatic theater, etc?

It varies, but in general, racing games are popular, especially foot races, horse races and in some areas boat races. Bloodsports such as animal fights (especially dogs), wrestling and pugilism are popular. Gladiatorial combat with weapons is unknown. In some areas storytelling and dancing are big. That's generally in the less civilized areas. There are other entertainments that are less common and are usually performed by traveling entertainers such as juggling, magic tricks, skits and plays, dwarf acrobats, trick horse riding, dancing monkeys, etc. There are also a wide variety of sports and games.
Some areas, especially in the core of the empire, have annual fairs that feature all of the above. (Except gladiators.)
Public executions are also a form of entertainment. They've had a big boost in Zekran while Levorek was in power.

Hmmmm well the Zekresh have had a blood filled past, and are probably the types to enjoy public executions. Seems to fitting for the Zekresh corrupt war-like even more then most people.

Public execution is pretty firmly rooted in actual history, though. Obviously it was popular in the ancient world, but most European countries practiced it up until the 30s or 40s. I was watching a program the other day which showed a man being publicly guillotined in Paris in 1937.

Yes, the public executions in the game were inspired by the prevalence of such spectacles in real history.
